 TABOR Election Information Session

 

On October 16th, The district held a virtual TABOR Election Information Session to share factual information about the upcoming TABOR election and its implications for the district. Residents had the opportunity to learn more about the ballot measure and ask questions related to the election.

 

What is TABOR?

 

TABOR is a provision added to the Constitution of Colorado after voters approved it in 1992. It places important limitations on how Colorado governments can raise tax revenue, spend public funds, and involve voters in fiscal decisions. Colorado General Assembly

 

Why TABOR Matters

 

Because of TABOR’s impact, any decision to change the district’s revenue structure, whether through new taxes, debt, or policies that affect spending, must go before voters for approval. That’s why TABOR elections are important: they give you a direct say in decisions about public services, schools, infrastructure, and quality-of-life investments.
